Salad Days


Salad, it's what's for lunch. Butterhead and iceberg lettuces with some spinach thrown in. Cucumber, grape tomatoes, sharp cheddar cheese and buffalo chicken top off the base of greens. A little Italian dressing and croutons and we are ready to crunch in! I love a great salad for lunch when the weather warms up. Though I didn't grow any of these ingredients, later on this summer there will be tomatoes from my garden. I hope. Barring things like neglect, which would be totally my fault, or hail, which would be Mother Nature's fault, I am hoping for a delicious, backyard grown bumper crop.
