This pot of ornamental ferns has sprouted fruit! Perhaps it felt a little inspired being right next to the blooming azalea. Unless ferns are a competitive or show-offy sort of plant.
A little closer view, they are about the size of a pea. I just noticed them today so I'm not certain when they first appeared. My brown thumb just got a teensy bit greener.
