Homecoming

And so the darkness descended. It stubbornly refused to let in any light at all, resulting in the longest night of my life. Only a week or so ago cracks began to appear in the ebony blackness. Just like the eternal flow of one season into the next, each day the light is gradually increasing. The long, dark night is ebbing away. Within this light I am beginning to see the possibilities of a new start. A brighter tomorrow. Like the waxing light I expect to return to this space more often. So I'm hoping you will come back more often, too. I have been too long silent and too long in a mid-life hibernation. We'll talk more. Soon.

Missionary Position

Perhaps painting my bedroom this color wasn't the best idea. Because of the implications of the color name. It really is a quite lovely shade of ivory. But somehow I feel doomed.
