No Whining!

I was not aware that such a celebratory day existed. And it's fine with me if the vintners themselves manufactured this holiday to possibly sell more wine to the masses. Interestingly, this was the day I got married back in the previous century. And all along I was thinking we arbitrarily chose this date for our nuptials. Clearly, sometimes you know more than you think you know. Choosing February 18th set us up nicely to celebrate every single year! Even though I stopped counting anniversaries at the twenty year mark, I see no reason why I shouldn't continue to pop a cork and enjoy some wine on this designated date. After all, who am I to fly in the face of an industry-established celebration. Cheers.

I Love My Dining Room

At last! The new sideboard is assembled, decorated, and in place on the south wall of the dining room. The first table arrived just over a week ago with some damage to the top, a couple of the corners were seriously smooshed in. The new one arrived this morning and had damage to the bottom shelf! Fortunately, between the two I was able to put together one complete, undamaged sideboard. And because Wayfair is awesome, they sent a replacement in a hurry at no charge plus gave me a discount for my trouble. Shop Wayfair! Great variety at reasonable prices arrives at your door in just days. And if something is wrong, they fix it. Who could ask for more?

According to the Calendar

My ruling planet is in Aquarius today. Whatever that means. Looks to me like a pirate beach party is in order. Please direct me to the nearest tiki bar that serves flaming rum drinks. Thank you.

Sorry, Bill

Since the son has to be at work early in the morning, we are breaking our long-standing tradition of watching Ground Hog Day on Ground Hog Day. Momentarily I shall be slipping into the flannel jammies and tucking myself into my big, comfy chair to continue with my Hunger Games marathon. It's not really a marathon when you watch only one movie per night, but a girl can tolerate only so much dystopian nightmarish death and sadness in one evening. In other news, the real Phil up in Punxsutawny didn't see his shadow earlier today meaning Spring shall arrive early this year. Or on time. At least by the calendar it will be on time. According to Phil. Whatever the weather, be sure to dress appropriately.
