Celebrate the Light

I have cleaned and swept the flagstones and gathered the greens that decorated the house at the Winter Solstice. There is amber ale chilled in the garage fridge. In a couple of hours I'll celebrate the Summer Solstice with a fire and a beverage and contemplate the last six months of my life. Now as the light lessens just a bit each day and summer marches on, I'll tend my garden of vegetables, the raspberry thicket, and the herb garden and delight in the gifts they offer. Blessed is the turning of the seasons.
