Most of the house is still a functional disaster. But slightly more functional and slightly less disastrous each day. This little sitting area off the kitchen has taken shape quite nicely, though.
Like in the old house, the patio door faces east so the morning light is gorgeous and welcoming. I think I'll especially like this space during the winter. The shelves beg to be filled with books and treasures, but I'm forcing myself to clean and organize first. Sometimes I'm such a grownup.
