Blogiversary 16

Well. I'm sweet sixteen once again. Soon I expect to be showing up here more regularly, I still have so much to say and so many cat photos to share. Thanks for your patience and for continuing to check in. I would love to write more but Newton has arrived and is demanding my attention. He thinks I have food here or something. Maybe he actually adores me. Let's go with that.

Homecoming

And so the darkness descended. It stubbornly refused to let in any light at all, resulting in the longest night of my life. Only a week or so ago cracks began to appear in the ebony blackness. Just like the eternal flow of one season into the next, each day the light is gradually increasing. The long, dark night is ebbing away. Within this light I am beginning to see the possibilities of a new start. A brighter tomorrow. Like the waxing light I expect to return to this space more often. So I'm hoping you will come back more often, too. I have been too long silent and too long in a mid-life hibernation. We'll talk more. Soon.
