AKA Larkspur
This, children, is a delphinium. Isn't she pretty? Back in May she was a tiny green lump in a pot surrounded by brown crusty leaves. She was marked down to a quarter. I took this as a challenge not knowing that this is considered to be a difficult, fussy flower to grow. I'm filing this gardening experience under ignorance is bliss. Not knowing what I was getting into, I poked her in the dirt, watered, and waited. As you can see, she's quite lovely. My brown thumb has triumphed.
