In case I had ever wondered how the mandolin slicer can whip right through even sweet potatoes, I have learned the answer. That freaking blade is really freaking sharp!! I am so absolutely careful when I'm using it, but I got careless while cleaning it. Damn. As if my hands weren't compromised enough already!

Ouch!!
In case I had ever wondered how the mandolin slicer can whip right through even sweet potatoes, I have learned the answer. That freaking blade is really freaking sharp!! I am so absolutely careful when I'm using it, but I got careless while cleaning it. Damn. As if my hands weren't compromised enough already!
Oh dear. I'd wondered which of us would be maimed by the mandolin first.

ReplyDeleteAnd don't feel responsible, I've had one of these contraptions for years. I took it apart to clean it leaving the blade completely exposed. It just slipped out of my hand while I was rinsing it. I've truly become a hazard to myself!
